China Lion to Release Adrien Brody-Tim Robbins World War II Epic 'Back to 1942'

“Aftershock” distributor China Lion Film Distribution has picked up the Feng Xiaogang epic "Back to 1942" for a limited theatrical release in the U.S. and Canada Nov. 30. The film, which stars Adrien Brody and Tim Robbins, opens in Mainland China the same day.

Based on the novel "Remembering 1942" by Liu Zhengyun, the film depicts the terrible famine that ravaged the Henan province during the fighting of World War II. Xu Fan, Zhang Guoli, Chen Daoming, Zhang Mo and Zhang Hanyu star with Brody and Robbins.

China Lion specializes in distributing Chinese-language films in other parts of the world.
