"Alice Walker: Beauty In Truth" is a feature documentary film about life and times of American writer, Alice Walker who made history as the first black woman to win a Pulitzer Prize for Literature for her ground breaking novel The Color Purple, made into a successful film by Steven Spielberg.
We all know well-behaved women rarely make history, but what of the rebels and writers, artists and activists who refuse to behave? They are the women who take the risks that change society. Who tells their stories? Alice Walker is one such woman, a risk-taker, a poet, human rights activist and novelist.
