Congrats to 'An Honest Liar,' January's Project of the Month!

Congratulations to "An Honest Liar: The Amazing Randi Story" directors Justin Weinstein and Tyler Measom! The project received the most votes to win January's Project of the Month.  The prize is a creative consultation from the Tribeca Film Institute.

Here's a look at the film's pitch:

An Honest Liar tells the incredible story of famed magician-turned-skeptic and enemy of deception, James “The Amazing” Randi. The film brings to life his elaborate schemes and investigations that famously exposed psychics, faith healers and con artists. Yet after recently coming out of the closet as a gay man, Randi himself now faces the price of a very personal deception that might result in the deportation of his partner of 26 years.

For more information on this project, visit its Project of the Day page.

If you’re a filmmaker (or know one) and you want us to consider an in-production film for our Project of the Day column, fill out the form here.

James Randi shines like a light of reason on the pseudoscience and quakery in this world.

Well, I guess it's not just the woo lobby that is trying to protect themselves from the Amazing Randi!

Best of luck from a fellow Canadian

Life can be tough for perfectionists.

Hmmm... I went to the Tribeca Film page, saw they had "Fun" in place of "Fund", and when I tried to post that fact, I was advised that it was refused "to protect against spammers"...!

    Strange...?

    James Randi.
