International rights to the documentary "Separado!" and comedy feature "A Bit of Tom Jones?" have gone to ContentFilm International.
"Separado!" marks the directorial debut of Dylan Goch and Gruff Rhys, and premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival earlier this year. Billed as 'a road movie of musical discovery,' it tracks Welsh pop legend Gruff Rhys, who embarks on a pan continental road trip in search of the Welsh-speaking gaucho Rene Griffiths, who appeared on Welsh TV during his childhood.
"A Bit of Tom Jones?," was directed by Peter Watkins-Hughes, and tells the story of man's attempt to sell the severed manhood of Wales' greatest entertainer.
"The success of ‘A Bit of Tom Jones?’ in Wales has been staggering," said the Producer and Director Peter Watkins-Hughes. "After beating Hollywood Blockbusters in Welsh multiplexes, it's great to be with a company like Content who can give our film a World stage."
CFI’s Head of TV & DVD Sales, Toby Melling added, "ContentFilm is delighted to be handling these two highly original, quirky but very different Welsh films and we are sure that each will find their own strong fan base."
