Corrente's "Providence" Picked By Miramax

"Outside Providence" waswritten by Corrente, Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly and is based onthe latter's novel of the same name. Bobby and Peter Farrelly's previouscredits include writing "Dumb and Dumber" (with Bennett Yellin, Peteralso directed) and directing "Kingpin". "Providence" is a coming of agestory, set in the 70's, starring Shawn Hatosy, Amy Smart, Alec Baldwinand George Wendt.In a prepared statement, Miramax Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein said,"Michael and I have been trying to work together for a long time." Weare thrilled to be in business with him on this hilarious and touchingfilm, and to establish a long term relationship with the director,writer and producer of this extraordinary work."
