We're in upfront season, which is traditionally when all the networks announce their programming for the year at parties intended to entice advertisers and attract press. This year, more than ever, nontraditional platforms are joining in the game (the "Newfronts"), with platforms like Yahoo and Hulu offering up their own slate of originals alongside the usual linear channels.
