The Criterion Collection announced their October titles for release. The dazzling roster of films starts with the collector’s set The Complete Jacques Tati, which contains all the features ("Jour de fête," "Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday," "Mon oncle," "PlayTime," "Trafic," and "Parade") and shorts made by the internationally beloved French comic genius, plus a vast array of in-depth supplements.
Also on the list is John Ford’s western "My Darling Clementine," one of the greatest cinematic treatments of the Wyatt Earp legend, and Federico Fellini's masterpiece "La Dolce Vita." The special edition features for both include new 4K digital restorations, with uncompressed monaural soundtrack on the Blu-ray.
Furthermore, Criterion announced that Orson Welles' free-form documentary "F For Fake" would be available on Blu Ray for the first time and that George Sluizer’s "The Vanishing" would get a 2K digital restoration.
