In the trailer we see the romance unfold--or not--between the two characters. It all looks rather formulaic, but Radcliffe, Kazan and a wonderful supporting cast which includes Adam Driver, seem capable of making the best of the material. "What If" is directed by Michael Dowse and premiered last year's Toronto International Film Festival. 

"What If" will have a limited U.S. release on August 1.
