Under the patronage of the French Minister of Culture, Paris is set to launch the first edition of their film festival next June.
The first Paris Film Festival will run June 6 - 12, 2012. The famed Publicis building located in the Champs Elysées will serve as the festival headquarters.
The event promises to feature 50 films in its inaugural lineup, comprised of 15 French and American films, 15 films submitted for Oscar consideration in the Best Foreign Language Film category and other selections.
In addition, Harvey Weinstein will be honored with a tribute and is slated to participate in a master class during the festival.
