It is now official, Miramax Films has been sold by The Walt Disney Company to Filmyard Holdings LLC for $663 million, both companies said today. The sale of Miramax includes right to over 700 film titles, including Oscar-winning films, "Chicago," "Shakespeare in Love" and "No Country for Old Men." Also included are non-film assets, such as certain books, development projects and the "Miramax" name.
Partners in Filmyard Holdings include Thomas J. Barrack Jr., Colony Capital LLC, Ronald Tutor, and Qatar Holding LLC.

Filmyard Holdings? That sounds like a graveyard for Miramax films. Sadness.
