Not only did fans get to catch the world premieres of "The Human Centipede 2" and "Extraterrestrial" at Fantastic Fest this weekend, but they also got to witness Dominic Monaghan and Elijah Wood knock the stuffing out of each other.
The bout was part of the the annual Fantastic Fest Debates, an event where filmmakers, press and film professionals debate topics of high importance to the fan community before duking it out for two rounds of boxing.
Monaghan and Wood's hot topic: "World of Warcraft." Monaghan argued in favor of the wildly popular online role-playing game, while Wood railed against it.
"'World of Warcraft' is a complete waste of time," said Wood in his turn at the podium. "'[The Legend of] Zelda' was the first foray into the world of the fantasy realm, if you will. That was enough for me."
After two rounds, Monaghan was the last man standing, preserving the dignity of WoW players everywhere.
Monaghan and Wood's fight led up to a match between Fantastic Fest co-founder Tim League and professional brawler and "Knuckle" star James Quinn McDonagh. League memorably challenged Quinn McDonagh to a duel earlier this month to prove Americans are tougher than the Irish.
