Drafthouse Films Acquires Rights to 'La French,' a Crime Drama Starring Le French Actor Jean Dujardin

Jean Dujardin's upcoming crime-drama "La French" has been picked up for U.S. distribution by Drafthouse Films. After all, who wouldn't want to own the rights for a film starring France's George Clooney?

Jean Dujardin's upcoming crime drama "La French" has been picked up for U.S. distribution by Drafthouse Films. After all, who wouldn't want to own the rights for a film starring France's George Clooney? 

The film is based on the real events surrounding the famous heroin scandal that hit France in the 1970s. Dujardin stars as a judge presiding over a case against a large mob boss. 

Drafthouse Films will also be distributing Michel Gondry's fantastical "Mood Indigo." "La French," directed by Cédric Jimenez, is currrently in production.
