Jesse Eisenberg, Chris Evans and Ben Whishaw have joined the cast of John Krokidas' directorial debut, "Kill Your Darlings," the previously untold story of the murder that led to the birth of the Beat Generation.
Whishaw will play the Lucien Carr, the Columbia University undergrad who brought together Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs with "the dream of starting a literary revolution." Jesse Eisenberg will play the young Ginsberg, the precocious law student who Lucien transforms into a writer, and Chris Evans will take on college football star and young novelist Kerouac.
Krokidas and his former Yale roommate Austin Bunn penned the script, while Killer Films' Christine Vachon ("Boys Don't Cry," "I'm Not There") will produce with D/F Management's Steve Dontanville exec producing. Killer still maintains its deal with producer John Wells, who provides the company's overhead and will take an exec producer credit on the film.
Killer's financial partner, GC Corp is working in conjunction with CAA to coordinate financing for the project.
