John Wojtowicz, the infamous bank robber who was the inspiration behind Al Pacino's character in Sidney Lumet's "Dog Day Afternoon," is the subject for the upcoming documentary "The Dog." In honor of the film's upcoming release, we have this creepily awesome poster to share.

John Wojtowicz, the infamous bank robber who was the inspiration behind Al Pacino's character in Sidney Lumet's "Dog Day Afternoon," is the subject for the upcoming documentary "The Dog." In honor of the film's upcoming release, we have this creepily awesome poster to share. 

Directed by Allison Berg & Frank Keraudren, "The Dog" follows the story of Wojtowicz, who made headlines after attempting to rob a bank to pay for his partner's sex-reassignment surgery. The poster gives us a look at the man, whose life and personality seems far more interesting that most could imagine.

"The Dog" will be in theaters August 8th and On Demand August 15th. Check out the exclusive poster below.
