FESTIVALS: London Calling, Fest Breaks Out with New Brit Talent

A serious autumn chill fell upon the city as Londoners hustled into cinemas over the early weeks of November at the London Film Festival (LFF). The 43rd LFF hardly made a dent in the arts landscape of England's capital city, but it did highlight some interesting British cinema. Often accused of serving up the festival leftovers from Cannes, Edinburgh and Toronto, the LFF nonetheless screened a handful of new British indies including the world premieres of "The Criminal" and "Tube Tales" and the UK premieres of "Rage," and "One More Kiss."
