'Fifty Shades of Grey' To Hit Theaters August 1st, 2014

A week after Sam Taylor-Johnson was announced as the film's director, the much anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" has set a release date: August 1, 2014.

Universal and Focus acquired the rights to EL James’ best-selling trilogy in March 2012 after a serious bidding war. The heavily erotic books (which originated as fan fiction to the "Twilight" series) follow the relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young businessman Christian Grey. Rumors about the casting of each character have been swirling ever since the rights were bought, though expect that to heighten now that the film has a set schedule.

27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele. That sounds SO fake and cliched and soap-opera moronic.

As one that fell in love with the books and even had my husband act out some of those scenes with me, I sincerely hope they don't mess them up the way many have done taking books and turning them into movies. and Nick, some woman out there don't just talk about there desires we act on them whole heartedly.

If you want to know about the "real" side of those living in shades of grey ...read, "Kileers, 'Cuffs & Kisses" from Amazon books. Eleven years of research & writing. It is a tad edgy though.

Thank you for the recommendation! I have had a hard time finding books that impress me. So far I have enjoyed "Bared to You" series by Sylvia Day, "Damaged and Damaged 2" by H.M. Ward, and "Surrender Your Love" by J.C. Reed. None of these books were as kinky as Fifty with BDSM, however I could not put any of them down. "Gabriel's Inferno" is also a great (to-be) Trilogy. The first book took a while to get in to but once you are it is a well written story for more intellectual reading with rich content. None of the same scene after scene boring repeats, which I loved!
I hope someone has more recommendations for me!
