FilmDistrict has made three marketing hires: Tracy Pollard as senior VP creative advertising, Brad Goldberg as senior VP media, and Anna Baxter as senior VP digital marketing.
Additionally, longtime FilmDistrict executive Adrian Alperovich, most recently president of acquisitions and operations, has been promoted to chief operating officer. Most recently, FilmDistrict hired Christine Birch as president of marketing and Jim Orr as president of distribution.
Pollard has worked on campaigns for “It’s Complicated,” “Despicable Me,” and most recently “Limitless,” “Haywire” and “Immortals.”
Baxter was most recently at Universal McCann where she created campaigns for “Dear John,” “The Social Network,” “21 Jump Street,” “Think Like A Man,” and the Spider-Man franchise.
Goldberg has more than a decade of media experience on the studio and agency side and most recently was senior VP media and promotions at Sony Pictures Entertainment
At the recent Cannes Film Festival, FilmDistrict acquired action thriller “Dead Man Down” starring Noomi Rapace, Colin Farrell, Terrence Howard and Dominic Cooper by Niels Arden Opley, director of the original "Dragon Tattoo" trilogy; and horror pic “Oculus” from director Mike Flanagan.
Upcoming releases for FilmDistrict include Sundance acquisition “Safety Not Guaranteed” on June 8, and the sci-fi actioner “Looper” on September 28 through TriStar Pictures.
