The Film Department has set Peter Chelsom ("Shall We Dance") to direct a remake of the Italian film "The Perfect Man" with Colleen McGuinness adapting the screenplay, and Di Novi Pictures producing. The remake is based on "L'Uomo Perfetto," and centers on three young adults - two women and a man - who have been friends since childhood. When the man and one of the women get engaged, the other woman tries to sabotage it, hiring a male model and training him to become a "perfect match" for the woman. The English-language version of the picture will be produced by Denise Di Novi, Alison Greenspan, Mark Gill and Robert Katz, with Neil Sacker and Michael Goguen serving as executive producers.
