Film Festival Sends Screenwriter to France

by indieWIRE

The Hudson Valley Film Festival sent screenwriter, Nicole Baptiste-Quinn to
the week-long Equinoxe Writers Conference in Bordeaux, France. During the
conference a group of advisors offer participants direction and insight
into how they can sharpen and perfect their writing skills. "I was immersed
in eating, breathing, and seeing films, while others were taking care of
your needs," said Baptiste-Quinn. This years advisors included Larry Gross,
"48 Hours", Regis D'Arlignier, "Indochine", Scott Spencer, "Fatherhood" and Ron
Bass, "My Best Friend's Wedding".

The HVFF sponsors a monthly screenplay reading at the Knitting Factory in
New York City in addition to readings during the annual film festival.
Screenplays chosen for readings at either venue can qualify for entry into
Equinoxe Writers Workshop.
