Film Movement acquired North American rights to Dusty Bias' feature directorial debut, the Sundance quirky comedy "Prairie Love."

Here's the film's synopsis from Film Movement:

As a high plains drifter travels across the wintry North Dakota prairie, he finds a man lying unconscious in the middle of the road. After defrosting, the man explains that he’s on his way to meet his penpal girlfriend for the first time, as she’s being released from prison. Desperate for a girlfriend of his own, the drifter hatches a plan to steal his new companion’s identity.

The company plans to release it theatrically early next year, as well as on VOD. For our interview with the director go here.

– Roya Rastegar, The Huffington Post

"Constantly teetering on the brink of absurdity, Prairie Love is saved by a quirky sensibility, perceptive scripting and a painterly style.”
– Justin Lowe, Hollywood Reporter
