First Run Features has acquired all U.S. rights to first-time director Erik
Skjoldbjaerg's "Insomnia". The Norwegian thriller stars Stellan Skarsgard
("Breaking The Waves") as a meticulous detective trying to solve the murder
of a teenage girl. Skarsgard can be seen in Spielberg's "Armistad" and Gus
Van Sant's "Good Will Hunting".

"Insomnia" was picked up shortly before its screening at the Toronto Film
Festival for an undisclosed sum. First Run will release the film in April.
