International Rome Festival president Gian Luigi Rondi and artistic director Piera Detassis have announced the presiding jury for films competing in the Official Selection of their 4th annual film festival. Director Milos Forman will serve as jury president, while architect Gae Aulenti, director Gabriele Muccino; actress and president of the German Film Academy, Senta Berger; French screenwriter and member of the French Academy, Jean-Loup Dabadie; Algerian novelist, Assia Djebar; and Russian director Pavel Lungin round out the rest of the jury.
“I am honoured to be president of the Jury for this year’s Rome Film Festival," Forman said in a statement. "Italy has and will always be a powerhouse in the world of cinema.”
The festival will run October 15 – 23, 2009 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Italy. As previously announced, this year’s Festival will honour actress Meryl Streep with the Golden Marc’Aurelio Acting Award.
