Fortissimo To Represent "Daniel & Ana"

Fortissimo Films announced that it has completed a deal to represent sales throughout the world (excluding Mexico and Spain) to the upcoming Mexican thriller "Daniel & Ana," from writer/director Michel Franco. The deal was brokered between Fortissimo's Executive Vice President, International Sales Nicole Mackey and Producer Daniel Birman.

Currently in post-production, "Daniel & Ana"stars Dario Yazbek Bernal (brother of Gael Garcia Bernal, making his feature film debut) as Daniel and Marimar Vega as Ana. The Spanish language production will be introduced to buyers at this year's European Film Market through preview footage.

"Fortissimo and I have worked with Daniel as a distributor for many years," said Nicole Mackey in a statement. "He has great taste and now we are delighted to be working with him as he produces 'Daniel & Ana' - a contemporary Mexican story with a wow factor!"
