Gen Art Sets Slate for '06

Jason Matzner's "Dreamland" will open the 2006 Gen Art Film Festival in NYC on April 5th. The film, the first of seven that will debut prior to a blowout bash, will screen at the legendary Ziegfeld theater in Manhattan. The fest will close with Gregg Kavet and Andy Robin's "Live Free or Die". Other feature films on tap include Goran Dukic's "Wristcutters: A Love Story", Steve Anderson's "F*CK, Scott Glosserman's "Behind the Mask", Bruce Leddy's "Shut Up and Sing", and Joshua Michael Stern's "Neverwas". Organizers announced that for the first time they will present the juried Stargazer Award for acting, along with the annual grand jury feature and short prizes. [Eugene Hernandez]
