Michael Cuesta, who has directed episodes of "Homeland" and "True Blood," helms "Kill the Messenger," based on a true story about a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist who looks into the major crack epidemic of the 1980s--a much darker "All the President's Men."
"Kill the Messenger" stars Jeremy Renner as Gary Webb, a reporter who realizes the dangerous connections between the growing crack trade and the CIA's possible involvement with arming rebels in Nicaragua.
In the poster we see Jeremy Renner as Webb, sporting some serious facial hair and symbolic aviators. It's a saturated glimpse at one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Liotta, Michael Sheen and Rosemary DeWitt costar.
"Kill the Messenger" will be released stateside on October 10th.
