Indiewire? There's an app for that. We are proud to announce that as of today we have a brand-new app, available for both the
iPhone and
Android devices.
Our app provides one-tap access to movie reviews, film festival reports, filmmaker interviews, resources, and tools; industry news; awards season tracking and analysis; and smart TV coverage. Follow more than a dozen different publications, including Leonard Maltin, Anne Thompson, The Playlist and Shadow and Act.
The app will let you experience trailers and clips from upcoming releases; instant sharing and commenting via Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn; a favorite list to let you save articles for later; and all the coverage from your favorite Indiewire Network blogs: The Playlist, Thompson on Hollywood, Shadow and Act, Criticwire, Leonard Maltin, Women and Hollywood, Eric Kohn, Caryn James, Peter Bogdanovich, The Lost Boys, Press Play, ReelPolitik, and SydneysBuzz.
Just search "Indiewire" in the App Store or in Google Play, or if you're on your phone now, click here to download the app for your iPhone, or click here to get it on your Android device.
A huge shoutout of eternal thanks to Indiewire product manager Joel WIthrow for overseeing this project. Similar gratitudes go to our app's developer, the fine folks at Mobile Roadie.

I must say I enjoy it thus far, love the "all in one" idea. Although additional options for accounts would be nice (i-e signing up with google+ and/or disqus not just the mandatory facebook/twitter). Also it's kind of weird to have an app specific comment stream (i-e the app doesn't load the site's comments... so it seems anyway).
