In a ceremony hosted by the comedian Dean Edwards, the Golden Trailer Awards, which honors the best in film trailers, named the trailer for "The Cove" Best in Show in their eleventh annual ceremony. "The Cove"'s win marked the first time a documentary took home the award. The dolphin-slaughtering exposé also took home the best documentary trailer award. The sickening trailer for "The Human Centipede" took home for Trashiest Trailer, and "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans" took home the Golden Fleece for best trailer for a bad film. Commenting on this year's entries, Monica Brady, co-founder and exec producer of the show, noted, “Across the board, 2010 was a big year for innovation. A lot of people made creative use of both new and traditional media to entertain and draw in their audiences."
