HWR: Almodovar Bringing "Purple" to screen

"The Ice Storm" author Rick Moody's novel "Purple America" will be adapted for the big screen in an international co-production that includes Pedro Almodovar's production company. Directed by Spanish commercials director Jorge Torregrossa, the film is about "the story of a freelance publicist who is summoned home to care for his mother who suffers from a neurological disease and demands an assisted suicide."
