Earlier today IFC Films announced they will handle the North American distribution for "Days and Nights," an upcoming drama that stars Katie Holmes in the leading role.

Written and directed by Christian Camargo, who has acted in "Dexter" and some of the "Twilight" films, "Days and Nights" is an adaptation of Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull" set in rural New England in the 1980s. The film stars Katie Holmes as a movie star who takes her lover to her lakeside estate for Memorial Day weekend. There, with her brother and son in tow, things begin to go awry.
