indieLOOP: Billy Corben’s “Cocaine Cowboys”

During the Tribeca Film Festival, indieWIRE’s new online social network/community site, indieLOOP is hosting two discussion groups: Tribeca Film Festival ‘06 Filmmakers, where we have invited directors from this year’s program to post in a group journal about their experience at the festival; and Tribeca Film Festival, where we encourage festival goers to discuss what movies they’ve seen, parties they’ve been attending, and who’ve they’ve been meeting. In today’s Filmmakers journal, Director Billy Corben talks about the world premiere of his documentary “Cocaine Cowboys”: “The theater was PACKED! There was a mad scramble for seats and people kept coming well after the movie started, standing at the back of the theater and in the aisles (what the hell else do people gotta do on a Wednesday night). Most, if not all of the people on the “door sales” line were accommodated, which is outstanding—so, even if the screening is SOLD OUT, get to the show early enough and you’ll probably get in!
