Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

"All the Others Were Practice"

Tweetable Logline:

All the Others Were Practice - the post-gay date movie. Comedy of Jorge meeting all the perfect boyfriends. Which one, is The one?

Elevator Pitch:

Jorge’s life is perfect. Mostly. He works in his cubicle, hangs out with his friends, sits around his apartment. Heʼs fine. Pam doesn’t agree. She sets Jorge up with the guy of his dreams. Jorge is ecstatic, radiant. Suddenly, every gay guy in town seems to want him. "All the Others Were Practice" is the feature-length comedy of how Jorge meets all the perfect boyfriends. But how will he know which one is The one? It's the story of an guy looking for love, he just happens to be looking for love with another guy.

Production Team:

Writer/Director: Brian Tolle
Producer: Val Castro

About the Production:

"We call 'All the Others Were Practice' the post-gay date movie. It comes from a desire to see a genuine depiction of queer men and women in a movie. Our romantic lead is thoroughly queer, but it's almost incidental. It's not a 'gay movie,' it's post-gay. The characters are queer and straight, and sometimes it's hard to know. They don't define themselves by their sexuality, but by their humanity. It's a fast, funny comedy set all around San Francisco. All the characters, regardless of who they sleep with, are people. And they're tired of being labeled." -- Brian Tolle

Currrent Status:

The film is in pre-production.
