The NewFest, the New York Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, opened last week with the opening night
screening of "Mambo Italiano," followed by a soiree at Metronome in Manhattan. Revelers included

will distribute the film by Emile Gaudreault. Basil Tsiokos, the NewFest head hosted the
affair, which also welcomed "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" director/star John Cameron Mitchell,

Bell
, who was camera shy, along with "Ghostlight" director Christopher Hermann and fashion diva
