iPOP at SilverDocs in Silver Spring, MD
by Wendy Mitchell
The AFI and Discovery Communications presented the first SilverDocs Documentary Festival in Silver Spring, MD, from June 18-22. In addition to proving popular to community members, the festival also attracted quite a few of the filmmakers who were on hand for Q&As with their screenings. The five-day event held a number of symposiums and parties, and even a community street fair where legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk strutted his stuff.
