iPOP at the SenArt Films Post Awards Celebration

by Brian Brooks/indieWIRE

SenArt Films, the folks that brought "The Fog of War" and "The Station Agent" to the screens last year, threw a post-Oscars and IFP Spirit Awards (among many others) bash Thursday night on the roof of the new Hotel Ganesvoort in the Meat Packing district in downtown Manhattan. The space was perfect, and apparently still not completely finished just hours before the party. But, everything looked tip-top when the bash began at 8pm -- the first party in the new hotel's penthouse. Among the celebrants and celebrities at the quasi-intimate affair were Oscar nominated actress Patricia Clarkson, actor Peter Dinklage, director Tom McCarthy, producers Robert May, Kathryn Tucker and members of the New York film world including Newmarket's Bob Berney, publicist Jeanne Berney, Miramax's Weiman Seid, Mary Jane Skalski from Antidote Films, composer Stephen Trask and many more. Not in attendance - "Fog" director Errol Morris who is apparently done with the party circuit for a bit. The director told May, "I would rather be eaten alive by a pack of wolverines than go to another party."

"Fog of War" executive producer Robert May and producer Michael Williams and their Oscar looking as golden as ever. May let various party attendees hold the statuette throughout the night, and let's just say, "Exhilarating...!" It's pretty damn heavy too.

Newmarket Films head Bob Berney (center) attended the event with his wife Jeanne Berney, whose company the Berney Group handles PR duties for SenArt. He is pictured here during a chat with Caroline Kaplan from IFC, and Dylan Leiner of Sony Pictures Classics.

Composer Stephen Trask and "The Station Agent" star Michelle Williams take a little time out to sit by the window with a drink and a cheery "hello" for the camera.

Mary Jane Skalski from Antidote Films hung out with the indieWIRE folks for a bit. She was an early supporter of iW back when it began when we were just little and not the media behemoth you see today...

The shoes were just too FAB to ignore. Patricia Clarkson sported a cool pair of Stuart Weitzman's at the party! Click those heels! There's no place like home!
