While Lars von Trier's rant in Cannes kept indieWIRE's editorial side busy, iPOP hit up La Croisette this week to offer a peek into what else is going down at the event.
Among the highlights in Cannes: Pedro Almodovar, Antonio Banderas and Sony Classics co-president Michael Barker toasted to "The Skin I Live In," Kanye West performed a full intimate set on the beach, "Michael director caught up with indieWIRE to discuss his controversial drama, Jonathan Caoutte made his second appearance at the festival in honor of "Walk Away Renee," and the U.S. war drama "Return" had its Cannes debut.
Back in New York, Woody Allen and his cast reunited for the Big Apple bow of "Midnight in Paris," and the doc "Buck" premiered Uptown.
