It's October In Canada for The Next Four Years

by Aaron Krach

October Films has agreed to grant Cineplex Odeon Films Canada (COF) the
exclusive rights to distribute all October Films features released in Canada
during the next four years. COF and COF Quebec will control the distribution
and marketing of October releases in Canada. The first film to be released
under the new arrangement is Robert Duval's, "The Apostle." Shane Meadow's,
"TwentyFourSeven," and Lisa Cholodenko's, "High Art," will follow.

"We are looking forward to a long and successful relationship with October
Films. There's an exciting fit here; COF and October both attract unique and
interesting projects, so not only are we very enthusiastic about October's
releases, we also anticipate that the partnership will benefit the
development of COF's and COF Quebec's Canadian projects," said Bryan
Gliserman, Senior Vice President of COF.
