The 4th Annual Big Apple Film Festival announced its scheduled for the four-day event celebrating achievement in filmmaking from the New York City independent film community. The festival recieved a total of 600 entries, of which the top 54 will be shown from November 14-17, 2008 at the Tribeca Cinemas. The opening night films will be Alan Cumming's "Suffering Man's Charity", starring Cumming, David Boreanaz and Anne Heche and the NYC premiere of "Owl and The Sparrow". Following the screening of "Charity", Cumming will be presented with the Golden Apple Award. Special events include the panel discussion "Film Distribution in the New Age."
