iW NEWS | European Film Awards To Honor Godard and Ballhaus

Jean-Luc Godard and Michael Ballhaus will receive honorary awards a the 20th European Film Awards on December 1, 2007 in Berlin. Godard, a filmmaker and critic for over fifty years, will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his "impressive contribution to the world of film." Ballhaus, a German-born cinematographer who has worked with Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Martin Scorcese, Mike Nichols, Wolfgang Peterson and many others, will take home the European Achievement in World Cinema Award.
