The 6th Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) announced its 2008 programming with 21 features and 12 shorts representing 8 countries, including 4 world premieres and 5 U.S. premieres. IFFLA will open April 22, 2008 at ArcLight Hollywood Cinemas with Richie Mehta's "Amal," and close with the world premiere of "Mumbai Cutting: A City Unfolds," a narrative collaboration of ten prominent Indian directors. Other programmed films include Shivajee Chandrabhushan's "Frozen," Liz Mermin's "Shot in Bombay" and Sarah Singh's "The Sky Below." The festival runs April 22-27, 2008. [Peter Knegt]
