iW NEWS | Magnolia Knows "Joe"

Robert Celestino's "Yonkers Joe"'s North American rights have been acquired by Magnolia Pictures. The film, a family drama starring Chazz Palminteri, Christine Lahti and Tom Guiry, premiered at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. The film will be released on Ultra VOD platforms on December 5th, 2008, and will be released theatrically on January 9th, 2009 in ten markets following a sneak preview showing on HDNET on January 7th. The deal was negotiated by Magnolia SVP Tom Quinn and Head of Business Affairs Jason Janego, with producer Trent Othick and Legal Counsel Ron Levin. [Peter Knegt]
