Fortissimo Films announced the sale of the Steve Jacobs' "Disgrace" to Canadian distributor Maximum Film Distribution. The John Malkovich-starrer, based on a J.M. Coetzee novel, had its World Premiere in Toronto Saturday night. The deal is for all rights within Canada and was brokered between Fortissimo's Co-Chairman Michael J. Werner, attorney Andrew Hurwitz and Maximum's Bryan Gliserman and Richard Rapkowski. "We are thrilled that our friends at Maximum Films immediately recognized the passion and the power of this incredible adaptation of this award winning work of literature," said Werner in a statement.
