The 31st Starz Denver Film Festival wrapped up on Sunday, November 23 and juried awards were announced in best narrative, documentary, student, and emerging filmmaker categories. Christophe van Rompaey‘s “Moscow, Belgium” took home the Krzysztof Kieslowski Award for Best Feature Film; the Maysles Brothers Award for Best Documentary Film went to Ferenc Moldovanyi‘s “Another Planet;” the Fox 31 Emerging Filmmaker Award nod went to Nina Paley‘s “Sita Sings the Blues”; and Robert Cosnahan‘s “Multiple Choice” picked up the Spike Lee Student Filmmaker Award. Additionally, audience awards were handed out to Andrzej Wajda‘s “Katyn” (Best Narrative Feature), Daniel Junge‘s “They Killed Sister Dorothy” (Best Documentary Feature), and Nicky Phelan‘s “Granny O’Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty” (Best Short Film).
