Palm Pictures has picked up U.S. rights to Argentinean/Spanish psychological thriller "The Method" by Marcelo Pineyro, the company's founder Chris Blackwell and Lisa Nishimura, General Manager announced Friday. Ed Arentz, Head of Theatrical Distribution brokered the deal on behalf of Palm Pictures with Massimo Saidel, International sales partner for Latido Films. Palm Pictures plans for a Summer 2007 theatrical release followed shortly by a DVD release. Written by Mateo Gil ("Vanilla Sky") the film centers on seven of the world's top corporate heads who pursue the top job at Dexia Corporation. What begins as a normal job interview quickly unravels as candidates fall prey to 'The Method,' a psychologically brutal recruiting system in which only one can remain. [Brian Brooks]
