In addition to completing its Discovery section, the 33rd Toronto International Film Festival also announced eleven feature films joining their Vanguard and Visions programmes. "Visions and Vanguard films both push boundaries - Visions for form, Vanguard for content," said festival Co-Director Cameron Bailey in a statement. "We find TIFF audiences love a new challenge; this is where to find it." The six films added to Vanguard are Gilles Bourdos' "Afterwards," Antti-Jussi Annila's "Sauna," Uro Stojanovi's "Tears for Sale," Thomas Woschitz's "Universalove," Marco Pontecorvo's "PA-RA-DA" and Lance Daly's "Kisses." The five Visions titles are Scott McGehee and David Siegel's "Uncertainty," Fien Troch's "Unspoken," Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige's "Je veux voir," Semih Kaplanolu's "Suet" and Fabrice du Welz's "Vinyan." The festival runs September 4-13, 2008. [Peter Knegt]
