The Weinstein Company has announced a deal for worldwide rights (excluding UK TV) to John Crowley's Toronto International Film Festival title "Boy A," described as a touching drama about a man, "released from prison at the age of 24, having been institutionalized for most of his life after he and another boy murdered a child, when they were themselves children." Adapted by Mark O'Rowe -- from Jonathan Trigell's novel -- the film stars Andrew Garfield, Peter Mullen, Shaun Evans, and Katie Lyons and was produced by Lynn Horsford, Nick Marston, Tally Garner and Liza Marshall. Cuba Pictures first production, the film will debut on Saturday at TIFF. TWC president of international Glen Basner, and execs Rhodri Thomas and Michal Podell negotiated the deal with attorney Jeremy Gawade and Nick Marston & Tally Garner from Cuba Pictures.
