Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

"La Source"

Tweetable Logline:

Two brothers. A village in need. A story that inspired thousands around the world.

Elevator Pitch:

"La Source" documents the struggle of the Lajeunesse Brothers, one in Haiti and one in New Jersey, in doing whatever it takes to bring clean water for the first time to the rural, poverty stricken village they grew up in. “La Source” is not just a movie about the transformation that occurs in a community when provided the most basic commodity of all but the story of two brothers empowered by a vision and how they were able to ignite the passion of people thousands of miles away to change the lives of the people in La Source forever.

Production Team:

Director: Patrick Shen ("The Philosopher Kings," "Flight from Death: A Quest For Immortality")
Producers: Patrick Shen & Jordan Wagner
Co-Producers: Brandon Vedder ("Pearl Jam: Live at the Garden") & Greg Bennick ("The Philosopher Kings," "Flight from Death: A Quest For Immortality")
Cinematographers: Patrick Shen & Brandon Vedder
Editors: Patrick Shen & Brandon Vedder

About the Production:

"This story was happening with or without us and once Josue, our main character, started moving on this we knew even though we hadn't raised a cent to make this film we had to do whatever it took to start rolling cameras. Both brothers are such strong willed, beautiful and charismatic people in such opposite ways. They seemed to be the perfect team to rally together and make this happen in a way that inspired everyone they touched in the process. We knew they would also be able to inspire an audience through this documentary in a very important way." -- Brandon Vedder

Current Status:

Post-Production, working on outreach plan.
