iW's Project of the Day: Joss Whedon Regulars Star in Indie RomCom "Lust for Love"

A promotional image from "Lust for Love."

Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

"Lust for Love"

Tweetable Logline:

The story of an innocent guy’s efforts to woo women, after he realizes he’s too inexperienced to win the love of his childhood sweetheart.

Elevator Pitch:

"Lust for Love" is an independent romantic comedy we're shooting in LA this December. We're a group of friends who have worked and created together over the last few years and want to step up and make a feature. Our talented cast includes Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman, Caitlin Stasey and others, all of whom have an established fan base. Dichen, Caitlin, and our writer-director Anton King are all Australian and we hope the film will appeal to Australian audiences. With a successful Kickstarter campaign we believe we can make a wonderful movie.

Production Team:

Writer/Director: Anton King
Producers: Anton King, Jack Wylson, Keely McCullough, Casey Mott
Cast: Fran Kranz ("Dollhouse"), Dichen Lachman ("Dollhouse"), Caitlin Stasey ("Tomorrow When the War Began"), Karim Saleh ("Munich"), Maurissa Tancharoen ("Dollhouse," "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog")

About the Production:

"Living in LA, whether as an actor or filmmaker, you're always chasing opportunities. They're right in front of you, sometimes achievable, often not. Deep down inside however is the reason we got into film in the first place, the burning desire to make something of our own, to do it the way we'd do it if we had the control. Lust for Love comes from that place." -- Anton King

Current Status:

Pre-Production.

I think that this sounds like a great movie. I love the casting choices and I think the concept will appeal to both men and women. I think we all had a moment in life when we realised we needed to work on ourselves to get what we really want . Hope to see it on the big screen soon
