Here's your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you'll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

"The Mad Scientist"

Tweetable Logline:

The Mad Scientist has just escaped from a maximum-security asylum and there's only one man who can stop his army of atomic super people!

Elevator Pitch:

The Mad Scientist has just escaped from a maximum-security mental health facility and there's only one man who can save the citizens of tomorrow from his portal of time and army of atomic super people! “The Mad Scientist” is actually a prequel to a previous Taylor Twin Pictures production called “Evil Cult,” a straight-to-DVD film released in 2003. In that film, we first meet our hero, Neil Stryker, who becomes trapped within the confines of a diabolical cult who try to melt his brain. Mayhem ensues.

Production Team:

Director/Co-Writer: Rob Taylor
Co-Writer/Producer: Nicholas Costa
Director of Photography: Brett Roberts

About the Production:

Rob and I came together as screenwriters back in 2001 and penned everything from a musical version of the feature film "Predator" to a film about two die-hard "Big Trouble in Little China" fans on a quest to retrieve Kurt Russell's tank-top. Rob was enamored with characters he'd created for his first feature "Evil Cult" (2003).

Within months we finished writing “The Mad Scientist" and filming began in 2005. This project has truly been a labor of love, but everyday on set is the best day of our lives. We're literally producing what Hollywood won't: a great sci-fi comedy feature.

Current Status:

The team is currently in production, on hiatus, raising money to continiue.
