The American Film Institute's AFI Fest, famous for being free-to-the-public and partnered with the American Film Market, has announced dates and submission deadlines for the 28th edition.
AFI Fest 2014 will take place November 6 through 13 in Hollywood, CA, and submissions are now open for filmmakers to submit narrative, documentary, experimental, animated and short films at AFI.com/AFIFEST or through Withoutabox.com. The deadlines for early submission (for both shorts and features) is June 27th, and August 8th for final submission.
Last year's celebrated submissions included "Saving Mr. Banks," "Inside Llewyn Davis," "Lone Survivor" and "Out of the Furnace." With 8,000+ participants from more than 70 countries, 700 screenings and the industry’s largest Conference Series, AFM is the pivotal destination for independent producers, filmmakers, writers, directors, distributors, financiers, development executives, the international media and all those who provide services to the worldwide motion picture industry.
