The film follows the sole major league knuckleballers of the 2011 season, Tim Wakefield of the Boston Red Sox and R.A. Dickey, a minor league player with the New York Mets. Ben McGrath of The New Yorker posits that in the entire history of the sport, only 70-80 knuckleball pitchers have ever existed. Depending on the execution of the pitch, knuckleballs are either a batters worst nightmare or smashed into the grandstands.
The two part trailer examines what it's like to throw or be at the recieving end of a knuckleball. Watch Derek Jeter wiff one.

RA Dickey wasn't a minor league player with New York in 2011. He started 32 games on the big league level.
